April’s New Moon in Aries
The New Moon invites us into the sacred dark, fertile void where rest, listening, and inner truth live.
The New Moon on April 17th arrives in the fiery sign of Aries — the first sign of the zodiac and the archetypal beginning of the astrological year. When the Sun and Moon meet here, a new cycle of courage, identity and life force begins.
Astrologically, Aries is the energy of “I Am.” It represents the moment consciousness awakens and the soul steps forward to claim its path. This New Moon invites us to ask: Who am I becoming now? What am I ready to begin? Where have I been holding myself back?
Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of action and vitality, which can bring a surge of energy through the body and nervous system. While this fire can inspire bold new beginnings, it can also leave us feeling overstimulated or reactive in a fast-moving world.
This is why deep rest practices are so powerful at this time. Through Yoga Nidra and sound, we guide the body into profound parasympathetic rest, allowing the nervous system to settle and the mind to soften. In this receptive state, the subconscious becomes fertile ground for the intentions of the New Moon. Rather than forcing change, we allow clarity, courage and direction to emerge from a place of deep inner listening.
The Aries New Moon reminds us that life is always inviting us to begin again. Not perfectly.
But courageously.
This is an evening to rest, reset, and return home to yourself and be held in stillness as a new cycle gently begins.

Deeply rooted in ancient wisdom and the healing arts, Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing have been practiced for thousands of year as effective tools for holistic healing and transformation. The origins of Yoga Nidra are found in the tantric practices of India and Sound Healing has been employed by cultures from all around the world, including ancient Egyptians, Tibetans, and native tribes of America. By harnessing the power of deep relaxation and sound vibrations, the body and mind enter a peaceful state of being that fosters deep healing and overall well-being.
Yoga Nidra, derived from the Sanskrit words “yoga”, meaning union and “nidra”, meaning sleep. It is a unique and very specialised practice that encourages a state of conscious relaxation. Through a fully guided, full body meditation that engages breath work, visualisation, body scans and techniques that soothe the nervous system, Yoga Nidra provides the perfect balance between rest and expanding your awareness, to create harmony between the body, mind, and soul.
Sound Healing works with the principle of resonance, the idea that everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration, including our physical bodies. Using various sound-producing instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes, Sound Healing creates specific frequencies that resonate with the body’s natural energy centres, or chakras, allowing tension to melt away so we feel relaxed, replenished and reset from a cellular level.
Physical and Psychological Benefits of Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing
The potent combination of Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing promotes vast physical and mental benefits, including:
1. Stress Reduction: By guiding the body and mind into a state of deep relaxation, Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing can effectively relieve stress and anxiety on both a mental and physical level.
2. Improved Sleep Quality: The calming influence of these practices has been shown to promote better sleep, combatting insomnia and increasing overall sleep quality.
3. Enhanced Immune System: As the body enters a deeply relaxed state, the immune system is supported, giving it the opportunity to function optimally and promoting overall health and well-being.
4. Balanced Energy Levels: Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing work together to balance the body’s energy systems, promoting a sense of vitality and rejuvenation.
5. Increased Self-Awareness and Intuition: By entering a state of heightened awareness and connecting with one’s inner self, these practices can foster a deeper understanding of personal truths, desires, and beliefs, ultimately leading to self-transformation.
