The Spring Awakening day retreat has been designed to align your inherent inner rhythm with the changing of seasons and feel revived with a sense of empowerment and renewal.

Spring Equinox which translates as “equal night”, marks a time of balance and new beginnings. Traditionally, it was celebrated as a time to cleanse out stagnant energy within the self and homes to prepare for new growth which is what we will do together.

As buds burst through naked branches and flowers flash through previously bleak and barren spaces, the energy of the Earth is unashamedly in her element, as she begins to rise and blossom. She awakens and we will cultivate this energy within our bodies too.

As the light returns, stretching the days and warming us all up after the long, dark Winter, Spring is the season of illumination. Now is the time to get really clear on what you want to see grow in your life and this retreat day is an opportunity to reset and plant seeds of intention for the year ahead that will leave you feeling aligned, inspired and deeply nourished on all levels.

Included :

  • 10am - 1130am Cacao and embodied movement, breath and meditation practice

  • 2pm - 4pm: Intuition and Creativity Workshop.

Whether you feel blocked in your creativity, are a seasoned artist or you think you “don’t have a creative bone in your body” this afternoon of playful, heartfelt and colourful creative exploration is for you to access and embody your deep feminine expression and combat debilitating self-criticism and the fear of failure that lead to creative blocks.

Creativity is a direct pathway to the most trustworthy source of wild and abundant intuition and inspiration that exists inside each and every one of us (yes, including you!) and yet so often I hear women feel safe or make time to explore their creativity. In this workshop I’ll show you how to tap into these parts of yourself, exploring sense perception, free-form writing and drawing and constructive daydreaming, culminating in a playful painting session on canvas that you get to take home with you.

  • 4pm Closing Circle

An invitation to join the community :::

The container that I hold allows you to feel and heal places that cannot be reached alone. It is an invitation to drop the comparisons, judgement and shaming of yourself or others and feel at home in your body and in circle with other women.

If you have been yearning for the beating drum of kindred hearts, the smell of mossy Earth and sacred fire, dancing under an open sky, and the freedom to express all parts of your being, then this retreat day is for you.

Come alone or bring your sisters, friends and family with you for a day of connection where you are welcome just as you are.

She works with a blend of Celtic wisdom teachings, living closely to the Celtic Wheel of the Year alongside Yogic and Tantric practices validated by science to help you restore and remember your body's wisdom, natural rhythm and wild nature.

Erin is a professional chef, TV cook for Ireland AM, recipe developer, food stylist and edible flower enthusiast, trained at the the prestigious Ballymaloe Cookery School in East Cork and the author of The Edible Flower, a guide to Cooking and Growing Edible Flower (as featured in Vogue, Sunday World, Country Living, The Irish News, Times and Examiner, Washington Post to name a few).

Erin has a real gift in making wonderfully complex layers of flavour and produce feel unpretentious and at the same time exquisitely beautiful and delicious. Inspired by the Celtic Wheel, her cooking is seasonal, utilising the best of local produce and infused with a little bit of magic in every mouthful.

The fact that Supper Clubs and events from The Edible Flower often sell out instantly, speaks for itself. So it’s a real pleasure to have Erin cater for us and I wouldn’t be upset if you decided to sign up for the day retreat just to experience the food alone!

Venue ::: Mother of the Woods

The retreat is held at a beautiful, spacious Georgian Hall nestled in 2.5 acres of ancient trees and wild meadows, in the rolling hills of Co Down.

Located on a small townland just outside of Belfast called Cargacreevy which translate from old Irish ‘Carraig na craoibhe’ as ‘Rock of the great tree’. Trees were sacred to the ancient ancestors and central to Celtic mythology and spirituality, and rocks were often gathering places for worship, which makes this old townland quite special.

The full address will be sent out upon booking but in terms of you locating yourself, the venue is an 8 minute drive from the M1 Saintfield Road roundabout, 20 minutes outside Belfast city centre, 10 minutes from Saintfield/Ballynahinch.
